-
What level of players do you work with?Tactical performance coaching is designed for players at all levels, including professionals, college athletes, club soccer players, and high school athletes aged 15 and above. The key factor is a commitment to growth—this training is for those serious about elevating their game and sharpening their tactical awareness.
-
What does tactical coaching cost, and what happens after the free session? After your free tactical check-in, the next step is a 2-session Tactical Analysis Package ($150). This allows you to experience personalized game analysis and one-on-one coaching before deciding on ongoing training. There’s no long-term commitment—after the two sessions, we’ll determine the best path forward based on your goals and whether continued coaching is the right fit for you. Because of the time required for detailed analysis, I can only work with a limited number of players at a time. If you're serious about improving your tactical awareness, I encourage you to take advantage of the free check-in while spots are available.
-
Are my sessions and game footage kept confidential?Yes, all coaching sessions and game footage are strictly confidential. Every player is on their own unique path, and my role is to support individual development—not to create social media content, highlight reels, or comparisons between players. Unlike some analysts who produce breakdowns for public platforms, this coaching is private and personalized. Game footage, discussions, and tactical insights are never shared with others, ensuring a safe space for honest reflection and growth. Players are evaluated on their own progress within the level of soccer that they play, not in comparison to other players that I work with, allowing for a focused, individualized approach to improvement.
-
Is individual tactical coaching compatible with my coach or team's tactics?Yes, tactical performance coaching is designed to complement existing team strategies. Sessions focus on refining individual tactical skills within real match scenarios, ensuring alignment with team objectives without conflicting with a coach’s system or philosophy. This process is never about critiquing coaching decisions, team tactics, or teammates. Instead, the goal is to enhance decision-making, positioning, and awareness so players can execute their roles more effectively within any system.
-
How do tactical coaching sessions work, and what do I need to participate?Tactical coaching sessions take place via Zoom, using game footage analysis to break down decision-making, positioning, and in-game patterns. Rather than simply reviewing highlights, the focus is on understanding why certain moments happen and how to improve tactical awareness in real match scenarios. Sessions begin with a detailed analysis of recent games to identify patterns and areas for improvement, prioritizing key moments based on individual goals. Discussions are interactive, encouraging players to analyze situations critically and develop a deeper understanding of their role on the field. What's Needed for a Session? A Zoom-ready device Game footage (full match but clips can work) A willingness to analyze and refine tactical decision-making

Why is individual tactical coaching necessary when I already have a team coach?Your team's coach, regardless of level, has a complex role—managing tactics, formations, substitutions, training sessions, and game plans, all while ensuring the team operates as a cohesive unit. Given these responsibilities, providing position-specific tactical development for every individual player in every match is incredibly difficult, not because coaches lack the knowledge, but because the nature of team management demands a broader focus. In most environments, tactical feedback is given as a group, with occasional individual corrections, but not every player receives consistent, position-specific analysis tailored to their development. This isn’t a shortcoming of coaching—it’s simply the reality of managing a full roster. That’s where individual tactical coaching comes in. With a dedicated focus on one player at a time, sessions provide personalized breakdowns of in-game decisions, positioning, and movement—aspects that often go unnoticed in team settings. The goal isn’t to replace team coaching, but to complement it by helping players refine their understanding, recognize patterns, and apply tactical concepts that fit within their team’s system.
-
Do you offer group coaching sessions, or is training strictly one-on-one?While group sessions can be valuable for team cohesion and collective tactics, tactical performance coaching is most effective in a one-on-one setting. Team-based training naturally focuses on group dynamics, but individualized coaching ensures that each player’s unique tactical development isn’t overshadowed by broader team strategies. In a group setting, there’s a risk of introducing tactical concepts that may conflict with a player’s team system. One-on-one sessions allow for personalized attention tailored to a player’s specific role, strengths, and areas for improvement—without interfering with their coach’s overall tactical approach. This ensures that development aligns with both individual growth and team responsibilities.
-
Do you analyze every game from players that you work with? The frequency of analysis sessions depends on the player's level, goals, and schedule. Higher-level players often benefit from reviewing every game, while younger or developing players may analyze games every 3–4 matches to allow time for adjustments and improvement between sessions. Some players prefer a flexible approach, such as reviewing every two games and selecting key matches for analysis. Ultimately, the schedule is tailored to the player's needs and decided collaboratively with the player, parent, or agent to ensure the most effective learning experience.
-
How is progress tracked and measured?Progress is tracked through game performance reviews, feedback discussions, and ongoing adjustments to each player's tactical development plan. Unlike traditional analysis that often relies heavily on match stats, these sessions go deeper—focusing on decision-making, positioning, and off-the-ball movement that numbers alone can’t fully capture. While stats can highlight trends, they often don’t answer key tactical questions, such as: Was the right decision made, even if the pass wasn’t completed? Did the player position themselves effectively, even if they didn’t touch the ball? Did movement off the ball create space or disrupt the opponent’s shape? Through video analysis and tactical discussions, progress is measured by recognizing patterns, improving awareness, and making better real-time decisions, rather than just looking at stats. Each session builds on the previous one, refining a player's ability to read the game and execute smarter tactical choices over time.
